Mom, dad and the kids received the lowdown on the merits of living a long and stress free life during a health fair outside at the PAL Miccio Head Start Center in Red Hook.

The community facility, 120 West 9th Street, turned into an outdoor data base as health care workers from conducted an assortment of complimentary screenings; among them, blood pressure and diabetes examinations, plus HIV and lead poisoning, plus apprised visitors of available services and resources in their community.

While mom and dad perused the information and screening booths, the kids were kept entertained with special attractions and amusements.
