Coney teen disappears on her way to school

Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who vanished from Coney Island on May 15.

Authorities say Victoria Malyshev was heading to school from her home on West 29th Street near Mermaid Avenue when she disappeared at 7:30 am. Cops say Malyshev stands 5-foot-1 and weighs 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing gray jeans, a black crop top, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black sneakers.

Police ask anyone with information on Malyshev’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477, submit tips at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or text-message tips to 2474637, then enter “TIP577.”
