Bob the burglar: Cops searching for Sheepshead Bay hardware store robber

Wanted: Cops are looking to question this man in connection with a March 14 burglary in Sheepshead Bay.

Cops are hunting for a man who allegedly looted a hardware store in Sheepshead Bay.

The baddie entered the Coyle Street store by kicking in the rear door after business hours on March 14, according to law enforcement sources.

Surveillance video shows the hooded perp donning all black as he scavenges the establishment around 6 p.m., before making off with a $300 and various hardware supplies.

Police are asking the public for assistance in finding the suspect, who they describe as a Hispanic man in his 20s, possibly wearing eyeglasses.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this male is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-8477. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
