Cops are hunting the knife-wielding wacko who slashed a man twice on Sunset Park’s Third Avenue Wednesday.

The victim told police he was arguing with the suspect outside a Third Avenue watering hole between 50th and 51st streets April 24 at 4:20 a.m., when the fiend pulled a knife and slashed him twice in the back.

The crook took off following the attack, while paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment, cops said.

Investigators have released surveillance footage of a man wanted for question in connection to the assault, who is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and in his early 20s.

Anyone who provides police with information leading to an arrest can expect a $2,500 reward through the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers program. The public can phone tips in at (800) 577-8477, log into the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, tweet @NYPDTips, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
